Annual MYSC Cleat Drive

Mission: To provide free or low-cost soccer cleats, shin guards and socks to families in our community, while raising money to help support the MYSC scholarship fund.

Product: Seeking community donations of outgrown, new and used YOUTH soccer cleats, shin guards and socks. Items must be clean and sanitary, and in good, usable condition. Dirty, broken, torn, or excessively worn-out items will be rejected and/or thrown out.

Collection: Donations will be collected during the Spring and Fall practice season, specifically promoting to collect donations at the last practice or Jamboree of the season. Donations will also be accepted throughout the year by appointment or at special community events, ie activities fair.

Disbursement: A set date and time will be held at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the Spring and Fall seasons. The community will be invited to come to Bombardier Park on said date to try on and acquire the gear. Case-by-case arrangements may be accommodated outside of the designated day/time if there is a need.

Cost: There will be no set cost to families. “Purchases” will be by donation only. There will be a suggested donation amount of $5 per item. Funds donated will be applied to the MYSC Scholarship Fund to further support local families in free or reduced registration costs. Families will also be encouraged to re-donate their gear after use.
